EVP and Site Head, Cramlington
David has over 28 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience, ranging from API manufacture through to sterile drug product and supply of packed stock to various worldwide markets. He has held senior positions in both small molecule (include highly potent) and peptide API manufacturing. In addition David has led process and project engineering departments and supply chain alongside manufacturing. David has been Head of Operations for Shire UK and Almac (Ireland) before moving to Site Director at ThermoFisher in their Single Use Division. David has a keen interest in LEAN manufacturing and operational excellence.
David joined Sterling in January 2024 as Global Operational Excellence Director. He then moved into the role of EVP and Site Head for the Cramlington facility; in this role he leads the site and is responsible for ensuring the delivery of the production plan on time, in full and to the highest safety, environmental and quality standards.
