Summary of the Development Analyst role

As the Development Analyst you will be responsible for supporting new and ongoing development projects.

Based at our site in Cramlington, Northumberland, you will work Monday to Friday, 37 per week.

Reporting directly to the Senior Development Analyst, you will be aiding in analytical investigations into unknown impurities to provide problem solving and troubleshooting, as well as supporting in analytical method development.

Your responsibilities
  • Using Mass Spectrometry and other techniques to identify and investigate unknown impurities.
  • Supporting with corrective action plans to maintain and improve chromatography standards.
  • Training analysts on interpretation of analysis and improving knowledge within the department.
  • Providing advice to various teams relating to any problems.
  • Performing routine auditing of laboratory areas.

Requirements for the role
  • Degree in Chemistry or related discipline.
  • Must have significant practical experience of analytical method development.
  • Experience of Mass Spectrometry and NMR is advantageous.
  • Good knowledge and experience of analytical instrumentation and laboratory skills are essential.
