This year, we have a number of opportunities to join our team through the Sterling Pharma Solutions apprenticeship scheme. We will be recruiting candidates for the following positions:
Business Administration (supporting engineering/production and our commercial teams) x2
Maintenance Technician (electrical and mechanical engineering) x2
Bioplant Manufacturing (Waste Water Treatment plant) x1
Human Resources (recruitment, learning and development, general HR related activities) x1
Warehouse Business Administration (movement of materials coming in and leaving plant) x1
We encourage applications from young people who are studying, or have completed, their GCSEs (National 5) or AS/A-Levels (Highers). As an equal opportunities employer, we also welcome applications from mature candidates looking to change careers or industries through the Sterling Pharma Solutions apprenticeship scheme.
We look for a minimum of GCSE English and Mathematics grade 4 and above (equivalent to C or above). However, we can also support functional skills alongside your apprenticeship.
It is desirable that you are competent with IT systems and Microsoft Office packages. This includes Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
How to apply for a Sterling Pharma Solutions apprenticeship
We are requesting that all candidates complete an application form. Within the form please indicate which apprenticeship you are applying for and why you would like to join the Sterling team. This application can be found under the applicable job advert on our vacancies page.
We will firstly review all apprenticeship applications prior to shortlisting. We will then share applications with the nominated training provider. Aptitude or functional skills testing will then be required.
Following this, you will be contacted for an initial phone interview. Here, we aim to find out more about you and your application. This includes making sure that you can travel to our site easily, hat you are the right fit for us, and equally that we are the right fit for you.
We will then schedule an on onsite interview. This will allow you the opportunity to come and find out more about Sterling, what we do and where we do it.
