Alistair Henderson

Alistair Henderson has over 20 years’ experience in pharmaceutical chemistry services, and as Site Director of the Newcastle Biosphere, UK facility, is responsible for overseeing the delivery of a range of chemistry services.

He possesses a master’s degree in Medicinal Chemistry, a PhD in Organic Chemistry and Toxicology and two Post Doctorates, one from Newcastle University and another from the University of North Carolina.

Alistair began his career at NewChem Technologies, a spin-out company of Newcastle University, as a Research Chemist, before managing the chemistry and analytical chemistry teams as the company grew. In 2024, Alistair became Site Director, following Sterling’s acquisition of the Newcastle Biosphere facility in 2023.
