Sterling achieves Ibec KeepWell Mark

Sterling Pharma Solutions is proud to announce that its Cork, Ireland site has achieved the Ibec KeepWell Mark.
This award highlights Sterling’s continuous commitment to improving its workplace wellbeing practices across the business, in line with its caring value, and compliments the other accreditations that sites across its global network have achieved.
The first of its kind in Ireland, the evidence-based Ibec accreditation outlines a set of health and wellbeing standards that organisations can achieve through the promotion of wellbeing in the workplace. It helps organisations to benchmark, and recognises and rewards employers for their investment into workplace health and wellbeing.
It focuses on eight key areas and how they impact a business, including:
- Leadership
- Absence management
- Smoke free
- Physical activity
- Health and safety
- Mental health
- Healthy eating
- Intoxicants
To achieve this award, the Cork site underwent a rigorous evaluation process involving:
- A self-assessment to identify its current standard
- An onsite assessment, including a site tour
- One-on-one interviews with some of the site’s management team
- Direct engagement with employees through focus groups, discussing their personal experiences of health, safety and wellbeing in the organisation
As part of this evaluation process, Sterling will receive a detailed report in the new year from Ibec, highlighting the areas it achieved excellence in and the areas for enhancement.
